S: Where Mommy go?

Daddy: She went to work. I think she'll be home pretty soon, she wanted to get here before dark.

S: Okay. That way her not freeze

Why?

We have just started the dreaded why phase. Last night we went out and got a Christmas tree.

S: "Mommy, what that man doing my Christmas tree?"

Me: "Cutting off the bottom so it can get water."

S: "Why?"

Me: "So the needles don't fall off."

S: "Why?"

Me: "Because I don't want needles all over the floor."

S: "Why?"

Conversations with 2 year olds

"Mommy, I no like my diaper."

"Well, you need to be potty trained to not wear a diaper."

"I not potty trained."

"Yes, so, you wear a diaper."

"But Mommy, I no like my diaper."

Repeat.

Stephen runs down the driveway at full-tilt. Nana says "Whoa Hoss! Slow down!" Stephen stops, turns around and says "I no hoss, I just Stephen."

I ride choo choo

It's been awhile since I've updated. We have had a lot of developments in the land of toddlerhood. We went to Disney World this year. Needless to say I think S had a good time and LOVED riding the train around the Magic Kingdom.

His development of language skills is speeding along. I'm constantly amazed at the different words he knows. We've been working on the letters and he has most of them down with a few problems (T and I are pretty similar when you think about it).
